Allison Bulger is a writer living in New York. Her work has been published in Words Without Borders, Salamander Magazine, and elsewhere. Her fiction has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize. Allison earned her MFA from NYU where she was an adjunct professor, a Goldwater Fellow, and the 2016 recipient of the Axinn Foundation Prize. Her writing has been supported by residencies and grants from 100 W Corsicana in Texas, the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, the Navarro Council for the Arts, Hambidge Arts Center in Georgia, and Ragdale in Illinois. She was a finalist for the 2020 Salamander Fiction Prize and frequently collaborates with visual artists. Fiction works-in-progress include a science fiction epic and a novel about the philosopher Giordano Bruno. She is also a member of the National Book Critics Circle. Her piece on Sorokin’s Telluria was chosen by LitHub as one of the 10 best reviews of 2022, and she serves as a committee member for the 2023 Barrios Books in Translation Prize.
